When I tried to pair it with my Blue\u00adtooth-enabled Ubun\u00adtu Lin\u00adux lap\u00adtop, I encoun\u00adtered a prob\u00adlem. I got and error when\u00adev\u00ader&nbsp; tried to do the pairing.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"more-269\">This is my sec\u00adond Blue\u00adtooth mouse since a few years ago. When I got my first Blue\u00adtooth-enabled lap\u00adtop, I bought a Log\u00aditech Blue\u00adtooth mouse because I did not want to waste an <span class=\"caps\">USB<\/span> port with a pro\u00adpri\u00adetary receiv\u00ader.<\/span>&nbsp;This kind of mice requires Blue\u00adtooth con\u00adnec\u00adtiv\u00adi\u00adty, either builtin or via an <span class=\"caps\">USB<\/span> adapter, but since all mod\u00adern lap\u00adtops come equipped with Blue\u00adtooth con\u00adnec\u00adtiv\u00adi\u00adty, this is usu\u00adal\u00adly a problem.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"caps\">OK<\/span>. So I went home and tried to pair the mouse with the com\u00adput\u00ader. I was a bit sur\u00adprised when I real\u00adized the mouse was not rec\u00adog\u00adnized. After some research I found the solution.<\/p>\n<p>This mouse uses the lat\u00adest blue\u00adtooth ver\u00adsion, 4.0. Because my ThinkPad <span class=\"caps\">T430<\/span> only has Blue\u00adtooth 3.0, it is nec\u00ades\u00adsary, before attempt\u00ading to pair the mouse, to exe\u00adcute the fol\u00adlow\u00ading com\u00admands as&nbsp;root:<\/p>\n<pre class=\"bbcode_code\">hciconfig hci0 sspmode 1\nhciconfig hci0 down\nhciconfig hci0 up<\/pre>\n<p>These com\u00admands are for Ubun\u00adtu 16.04 and&nbsp;later.<\/p>\n<p>After issu\u00ading the above com\u00admands, I was final\u00adly able to pair the&nbsp;mouse.<\/p>\n<p>I strong\u00adly rec\u00adom\u00admend this mouse. Its rel\u00ada\u00adtive\u00adly cheap (around \u20ac35,00), comes with an includ\u00aded <span class=\"caps\">AAA<\/span> bat\u00adtery which, accord\u00ading to the (small) instruc\u00adtion man\u00adu\u00adal, lasts up to 6 months, and saves an <span class=\"caps\">USB<\/span> port&nbsp;(if your com\u00adput\u00ader does not have Blue\u00adtooth con\u00adnec\u00adtiv\u00adi\u00adty, you still have to buy a Blue\u00adtooth <span class=\"caps\">USB<\/span> adapter if you want to use this mouse.).
